Al Ahli, the Egyptian football club, secured their place in the African Champions League semi-finals with a hard-fought victory over Tunisian giants Esperance on Tuesday night.

The match was played at Cairo International Stadium and saw the hosts take the lead early on through a header from Talal Telle.

However, Esperance fought back and equalised through a goal from Youssef El Amin in the second half.

Despite this, Al Ahli refused to give up and continued to push forward for the win.

In the 88th minute, Telle scored what proved to be the decisive goal as he headed home a cross from his team-mate Mohamed Aboutrika.

This meant that Al Ahli progressed to the semi-finals of the tournament,Primeira Liga Tracking where they will face either Morocco's Raja Casablanca or Guinea's AS Vita Club.

The victory is a major boost for the club's chances of reaching the final and securing a spot in next season's Europa League.

For Telle, it was another impressive performance, as he helped his side secure a vital three points in the tournament.
